Bespoke commercial project - custom-made artificial hanging baskets and plant installation for historical haunted pub & hotel
Ye Olde Kings Head, which many people may have spotted on 'Britain's Most Haunted', was built in early 1622, on foundations from the early 1200's. It's one of the most haunted inns in the country and is one of the most photographed buildings in Chester, with people travelling from far and wide to stay in this truly historic hotel and public inn.
Harry Achilleos, the proud owner of Ye Olde Kings Head came to us with the idea of having century-relevant luxury hanging baskets with flowers and foliage that you would expect to see in the gardens and landscapes of the 17th Century home. He was also looking for a solution that would last him for many years and see him through the winter months still looking as glorious as ever. With some detailed research and many conversations with Harry about his vision, we came up with the ideal artificial solution.
Fitted perfectly into the iron hanging baskets and troughs provided by Harry, our design team secured over 10 separate stunning artificial plants and flowers including 3 types of fern, trailing ivy, white and red roses, mint, asparagus branches, red and white geraniums and mixed foliage.
The results are truly stunning and we really did bring Harry's vision to life. Now installed and looking amazing outside this heritage site, this was one commercial design project everyone involved with truly enjoyed. And who knows, even the ghosts of the Ye Olde Kings Head may like them too!
