Recycled Rugs – Offcuts & Plastic Bottles
Rugs can really hold the whole feel of a room together. So it is important to pick out one that does the job well. With recycled rugs, you will not only get the joy of the aesthetic value, but you will also know that you are doing the right thing in terms of eco-friendly purchasing. Rugs can be made in different ways so that they minimise waste. For instance, some rugs in our recycled homeware collection are made out of the off-cuts from factory floors. These of-cuts then get made back into thread instead of ending up in landfill. Other rugs can be even be made out of 100% plastic bottles!
Eco-Friendly Throws
In terms of the throws, there are also options that are made out of recycling plastic bottles (using recycled PET yarn). Alongside other throw styles created with 80% recycled cotton. What is so amazing when you look at these recycled throws, is that you don’t get any sense that they have been made outside of the traditional method. What catches the eye instead is that they come in a range of gorgeous colours and have a lovely soft texture. They often have subtle yet eye-catching patterns and many can be easily machine washed too.
Cushions Made From Plastic Bottles
A sofa becomes so much more interesting and inviting with some well chosen cushions. Thankfully, you can still keep things eco-friendly as well as beautifully designed. Although the cushion material is being produced from recycled bottles, the texture is surprisingly soft and wool like. Plus, the material has also been UV treated so that it won’t fade in the sunlight. This means that recycled cushions can be perfect for a bright living room or even a sunny conservatory.
Recycled Glass Vases & Bottles
Our collection of recycled vases and bottles is also a great place to turn if you want the little bit of additional interest. Try them on a kitchen table, in the living room or dining room. The vases and bottles come in a variety of shapes, colours and sizes. You can choose clear glass or you can go for pink, blue or green glass. Some have beautifully smooth, flowing style, whereas others show off grooves and patterns in their designs. Pop a bunch of flowers in (or artificial flowers for longer lasting option), and you will have yourself a pleasing addition to any windowsill or table in the home or in a commercial space such as a restaurant or café.
