Step-by-Step - How to Create a Christmas Wreath

In our step-by-step video tutorials, you'll see how to decorate a Christmas wreath with gorgeous artificial foliage, berries, and flowers. The three different designs to give you a selection of styles to try. These are easy to make at home and all start with a quality artificial green wreath as your base. Here are the key steps for you to follow:

Step 1: Select a good quality plain green artificial wreath as your starting point. This provides a luscious foundation for you to build your design from.

Step 2: Select around 4 different sprays or picks to decorate your wreath with. Think about the colour palette you are using for your design and having a mix of foliage and either flowers, berries, pinecones, or something that will add extra interest or texture.

Step 3: Ensure you have enough of each type to go all around the wreath. The number depends on the size of wreath you are decorating.

Step 4: Start with the longest / largest foliage and insert this into the wreath, so you can feel the stem come through the other side.

Step 5: Flip over your wreath and use small cable ties to secure the stem to the wire frame. Inserting the sprays at an angle will create a gentle spiral effect to the finished look.

Step 6: Cut off any excess cable tie ends for a neat finish.

Step 7: Repeat the above with the same type of foliage, working around the wreath so that it is evenly spaced.

Step 8: Select your next spray or pick layer to add to the wreath. Preferably, the next size down so you are gradually getting smaller or more detailed.

Step 9: Repeat the steps above, inserting the sprays and picks evenly around the wreath and securing them with cable ties.

Step 10: Gently spread out any stems or flowers to fill gaps and make your Christmas wreath look balanced.

Step 11: Proudly display (show off) your luxurious and long-lasting artificial wreath to family, friends, and any visitors!
